More Pictures

I got some pictures of Rebecca and Nicholas, but they were all in the swimming pool. I think they would stay in the pool all day every day if I let them. First is the two of them:

Then Nic was blowing water out of the "noodle":

My camera must be pretty good. Check out the details in the water that he blew out:

Nic is definitely not afraid to jump in:

Here's Rebecca holding Nic up:

Rebecca looking pretty:

You would think by now Rebecca would be used to being in the water, wouldn't you?

Then she got brave and made a great olympic dive:

Then Uncle Doug and his kids showed up and the party began!

Even Billy made a couple of jumps:

Hannah was content to just sit on the chair with me:

Well, leave it to me to leave somebody out. Where was Shelly in all this? Right here with everybody else. I just didn't get her picture. Oh well...

Pictures Are Back!

Okay, I can stand it no longer. I have to post pictures of my grandkids. Billy, Shelly, and Hannah were here Friday night and Saturday, and Rebecca and Nicholas were here on Saturday night and Sunday. But the vote is in and it is unanimous. The little kids all want to be here at the same time so they can play together. LUCKY ME!!! But I don't mind. I didn't live close to my cousins growing up and I want them to be close. They were all here together for a little while on Saturday. I finally got them all to sit still on the couch to get their picture made as a group:

Hannah is learning to climb the steps and she is getting quite good at it. I'm going to have to watch her like a hawk!

But when she got caught, she just sat there like she was so innocent:

I have a what-not shelf that doesn't have anything on the bottom shelf. Now I have a beautiful what-not:

Shelly and Hannah had on look-a-like clothes:

Billy had on a green soccer suit (clothes were compliments of Granny):

I think he looked really handsome:

Then they all posed for a picture with Granny. First is Rebecca:

Then we have Billy:

Then of course there's Hannah:

And then we have Hannah with her sister Shelly:

Ane then Shelly the ham had to be in the pictures with Nic:

I guess you can tell that the kids had been eating spaghetti.I know there weren't but a couple of pictures of Rebecca and Nic. But they're still here and out in the pool. So I'll be making another post of them. Have a good day. I'm going to the pool!

Recipes

I've been thinking about eating natural growing vegetables, such as poke. I have found some recipes but would like to hear from others who have eaten the plant before. I have found that it can only be eaten in spring because of the toxins in it as it gets bigger. I was just thinking that I could buy large quanties of stuff like flour, meal, beans, stuff like that and eat cheap and still have some grocery money left over. We could probably eat for a month on what one weeks grocery bill is now. Now that's a thought. And I may start riding my bike to work regardless of the weather, saving on gas. I would buy a bicycle to ride but I'm not that gung ho on saving gas. They have scooters that get over 70 mpg. My Honda only gets 50. The Yamaha probably gets more because it's smaller. But I'm not going out to buy a scooter. I'm not that desperate yet. What would we do if we lost all electricity, water, etc...I printed out instructions today on how to purify water to make it safe to drink. Don't know what's gotten into me. I guess I'm just preparing for hard times ahead. I'll miss the a/c, computer, tv, and all the stuff that will go with it. I guess I'll miss it as much as anybody. But life will have to go on and I'm sure alot of people would die because they were allergic to the hard work that would have to be done in order to survive. I'm trying to psyche myself up to be ready if that happens. I don't know if it's a premonition or what. But you have to admit, it would be good to be prepared if it did happen. Anyway, send me your recipes! I want to try them!!!

About Me

I am now an RN. I love taking pictures, especially of my grandchildren. I love taking care of people and wish there was more time to do it. Management puts so much paperwork and picky stuff on us we really don't have time to do the job we are destined to do.
